Topic: no castes in sikhi
just wanted to take out the time to remind all my brothers and sister that in sikhi we do not believe in castes. castes route back to an old cultural tradition in india, that our Guru ji's spent time eradicting and stood firmly against. EVERY1 IS EQUAL...that is a message that our guru's gave us!!! so why are we feeding inequality within our own faith. how can we expect people to treat us equally if we ourself do not do so to eachother. research into it...u will find that believing in castes is forbidden in sikhi. so please don't follow the crowd! peace. xx

that is good, but we don't call ourselves jatts because of inequality reasons, thats just a few people lol
and remember all the Gurus married into the khatri/kshatriya tradition families, so the caste system talk people are talking about now is going a bit too extreme. And mostly its just people who hate it when we mention that we are jatts.
Guru Gobind Singh had no problem using catse clan names, including the khatri/kshatriya ancestors of the Gurus in Dasam Granth and even a jatt clan name in Zafarnama. Guru Sahibs didn;t have problems, its these sikhs coming about now, that wanna force this caste system talk down our throats and make us forget our honourable traditions.
